New Radiant Storm King – ”In the Spirit of Distance”

New Radiant Storm king. An indie rock band from Massachusetts. I like their style! Most songs these days seem to really be constructed around the music. But this is different. This one strikes me as a song written around very poetic lyrics (which becomes the center). The vibe here reminds me a lot of Jimmy Eat World (Whom I love and adore.)

Cute. This song is lovely. Takes me away on a wave. I feel like I’m surfing away all cares, and bad feelings in the Cali sun. Acknowledging my mistakes and fears. Rocking out to this song!

“Welcome-to-the-dawn, yeah-baby” YES. My personal robot. Singing to me about what has now come. Which is…you guessed it..the “Dawn of The Butterfly” Pure awesomeness. “off the heezy.” I’ll say! I can see a bunch of zombies dancing around to this a strobe-lit club. Along side of their Butterfly friends. Thanks Knodel for bringing us this rad track!

Wesley Willis- A diagnosed schizophrenic from Chicago. This man is an artist who is known for his off-the-wall (sometimes obscene) and truly just HILARIOUS lyrics. I’m sure he is resting in peace somewhere. Most likely playing poker on a cloud with the likes of Marilyn Monroe & James Dean. And…he’s winning! FUCK WITH HIM…and find out!

The Perishers – “Sway” (play/download)

The Perishers present us with “Sway.” Sweet, melodic, and melancholic. Exactly what you’d think these guys to be en entirety right? Wrong! They actually begun in Sweden. Decked out in Doc’s playing pretty harsh hardcore. I guess this is PROOF that as a human/musician when you stop musically allowing yourself to grow, your music will fall with you. The opposite has happened here. I very much approve, and appreciate this bands approach with this song. It truly is beautiful. Check out their playlist at www.perishersmusic.com

This song has put me in a trance of relaxation and peace. This song I could see on a soundtrack of some kind of classy film. This music is somewhat strange…yet beautiful…mysterious… I feel like this is a pleasant matter of fact. I believe that the girl that he is singing about portrays all those mysterious qualities herself….”She dances fantastic, with legs of elastic.”

Spitballs – “I Want Her So Bad” (play/download)

Sounds like you want her? Yeah, I think you do! Whether or not she wants you back…this I cannot yet say. Sometimes the sounds in one’s head are good out loud, because it creates MUSIC. Loud, fast rock n roll. This song is crackin me UP!

Love Like Fire – “From A Tower” (play/download)

Bang of the drums. Crunch of the guitar. Fire of the bass. That’s all I need. “Close your eyes, rest well tonight, you can try your luck tomorrow. Take your time, I have lots of time, coming my way. I will be drinking from the fire.” This songs got me swaying back and fourth with a smile on my face.

Kelley Stoltz – “Memory Collector” (play/download)

Imagery. Is what makes this work. The beautiful ragtime-esque piano starts us off on a pretty classy note.
The song is pop. And catchy. “It won’t let you forget.” To say the least =)

The Lucky Devils – “Traveller” (play/download)

A combo straight out of Berkeley, CA. This song brings me back to the 90′s. This voice I like. The progression of chords I like. Here you have it, “Traveller.”
